PERSONAL HISTORY:

Twenty Six years ago I was born into a middle class Italian/Irish family of eight.
At a young age I began to draw and color the world around me. Growing up, TV and
music were my favorite sources of inspiration. The visual and the audio. To me art
came so naturally, as I began to copy cartoons, comics, and album covers of the late
seventies and early eighties.

Then I was introduced to the Library and the book stores in the Mall. And my art
changed direction for the first time. I saw paintings and drawings that TV never
showed me. The Art books were so diverse and energizing, I fell in love with art
again. I studied the art of a Fantasy/Science Fiction painter by the name of Boris
Vallejio from Peru. Boris's ultra human art taught me without any words. His art
taught me that artists have the power to transfer thoughts and emotions into visual
communications. For years I practiced Fantasy/Science Fiction (black and white ink)
art and it slowly lost its luster to me as a challenge. In the early nineties my
family bought a personal computer. My art changed for the second time.

So now the dawning of the Digital Renneisanse has pushed me into a new world of
colorful and contrasting designs. Scanning original artwork and photos then
manipulating them in Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, CorelDRAW and Quark is the
way I create in today's new digital millennium. I can still communicate my art
from intelligent thoughts and passionate emotions. Only my pens and paint brushes
have turned into a mouse, keyboard and hard drive. It was very alien at first,
but anything you don't know how to do at first is like that. Patience and practice
sharpened my mind to communicate with the computer. I am now a full time working
cutting edge Graphic Artist! It is my main source of income for a local Printer.
Adaptation and Positivity has enabled me to dream up a creative and expressive
future.

In the future I would love to exist soully on the fruits of my freelance
Illustrations. Selling my Magazine Illustrations, Editorial Art, Book Covers, and
Gallery Fine Art would be a dream come true. This goal is an old dream in a brave
new world of technology, so I have grown to be very flexible when it comes to
creating communications for paying clients. I would also love to write and
illustrate books of poetry and Art plates of the deepest emotion, one day..

I thank you for reading my bio and looking into my art. The life of an artist is
a journey of dreams and observations with a touch of passionate pain. If you need
an Artist, let me know.
