“Historic distortion” and “Playing Language” served as a major momentum
and a big influence in creating my work. Every single word in any
language is supposed to bear its own culture in its deep meaning. I’m
looking for a cultural common feature by working on puns. I progress the
works in the form of ‘language’ and pay attention to relationship between
elements that compose a work. The language is merely a symbol of expression
created by mankind and does not exhibit the absolute truth about the things
that represents. I now paradoxically question the truth, by distorting the
real meanings of certain words.

The history possesses certain elements can be easily distorted and
misinterpreted. The interpretations can get distorted depending on how a
specific word is interpreted (or depending on the interpreter).

Currently, the English, my second language, is one of the important topics
portrayed in my work. After my immigration to the United States, this new
language has made me an alien, and presented me with a new point of view.

I express my view on paradoxes through creating unexpected links, which
connects the museum display structures (disguised with the truth), with the
periodically-changing social and cultural phenomenons observed through the
concept of a language.
