Lori Ortiz is a Brooklyn writer and painter. Her articles 
about art and dance appear regularly in Attitude, Performance Research 
Journal, Offoffoff.com and others. She is a 2004 National Institute of 
Arts Journalism Fellow. She was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation 
Grant in 1990 and directed the ALGO window gallery in the East Village 
from 1986-88. She co-curated and was featured in the 2003 exhibit ARC 
at Sideshow Gallery in Williamsburg. Lori  has had five one-person 
shows of her paintings and has exhibited internationally in galleries 
and museums.
