TYPES OF ART


Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Installation, Illustration, Video,
Computer/Digital, Architecture, Graphic Design, Window Display, 
Fashion Design, Glass, Jewelry, Pottery, Craft, Floral Design, or other.

*Special consideration will be given to site-specific installation work.
*Due to the gallery being a window gallery, art with sound cannot be heard.
*Due to the gallery being a very public location nudity or sexual explicit
 work will not be accepted.
*www.gallerythe.org is a not for profit gallery, all sales are between you 
 and the buyer.
www.gallerythe.org is a window/internet gallery.
You MUST first submit to the on-line gallery.
Once the below requirements have been met you will become an on-line Artist @ www.gallerythe.org.
Our curators will review all artists for the window gallery.
In some cases invited curators will curate artists not "ON" the site.
If you have been chosen this way you must comply with the artists requirements below.

ARTIST REQUIREMENTS

Please submit all information in six seperate emails to:

 We accept .jpg [all artwork], .gif animations [animations] and QuickTime .mov [video & performance] files.

GENRAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE WINDOW GALLERY:

  • All submitted work must fit within the size requirements.
  • The white backdrop to the windows is a flexible blind.
    Artwork CANNOT be attached to the blind and MUST hang from the ceiling.
  • You must be available for installation and deinstallation, 2 days.
  • You must be available for PR via email, telephone or person.
  • Artist stipend is $200 per window; 50% @ installation, 50% @ de-installation. Our budget is for three artists per exhibition. If you have been curated into an exhibtion with additional artists you will divide the total of $600 per exhibiton with the other artists.
  • Please note the gates will be closed, but the public will still be able to view the work.

TIME TABLE

  • 45 days before the installation date we must recieve your SUBMISSION FORM and five images.
  • Two weeks before the installation date you must provide 1-2 sentences about your work you will be exhibiting which will be used for the email announcement of the exhibition.
  • One week before the installation date you must provide us with the: Name of the Artwork, Medium and Date.
