to go to the Artwork
The graduation gift to P.S. 261 from the 5th Grade Class was created by the students and their art teacher, Dorrine DeChant.    Each student painted a 4" x 4" plexi-glass tile.    The works were then linked together using metal binder clips.    The works were inspired by graduation, sports, life and the thought of the day.

The one who made us a class.
The one to show us how special life and trust is.
The one who made our class special.
The one who wants to be your friend.
The one who got sucked into a world of angels and happiness.
The one who gave us courage.
The one who would want us to graduate
Sometimes I feel like she gave us the power….
Like half of her power to us.
I believe she has granted us 1 wish…
And that wish was for everyone to graduate!
We love her with all our hearts.
